What Is Meta Conversions API?

Definition

Meta Conversions API is a server-side method for sending marketing events from a business's systems to Meta.

How Meta Conversions API Works

A server, ecommerce platform or integration sends events such as leads and purchases. Browser Pixel and server events can be used together and deduplicated with matching event IDs.

A Simple Example

A purchase may be sent once from the browser and once from the server. Correct deduplication lets Meta treat those signals as one event rather than two sales.

Why Meta Conversions API Matters

CAPI can improve reliability and enrich event data when browser signals are incomplete.

Common Misreading

It does not bypass privacy requirements or automatically fix bad tracking. Server events still need consent, correct values, identifiers and deduplication.
